Blacklands Railroad Announces Grant Funding

Blacklands Railroad is excited to announce that our HOB Railroad has been awarded a Federal Railroad Administration CRISI Grant of over $8 million. It will result in a total investment of close to $15 million in the railroad and infrastructure. It will upgrade the railroad to 25mph, increase interchange capacity with Union Pacific, and increase storage and operational capacity in Henderson, TX. We plan to increase our service offering in East Texas and provide a long runway for economic development and investment in the region!
